The Anayirankal Dam is surrounded by the Tata Tea Plantation and evergreen forests. It is an ideal picnic spot. Pothamedu - offers an excellent view of the tea, coffee and cardamom plantations in Munnar. The rolling hills, the lush mountain and the breathtaking scenery here is ideal for trekking and long mountain walks. Morning breakfast and check out of the resort and proceed to Thekkady - 900-1800 m above sea level Rainfall: 2500 mm The very sound of the word Thekkady conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills and spice scented plantations. In the Periyar forest of Thekkady, is one of the finest wildlife reserves in India, and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations and hill towns. Enroute to Thekkady visit to Power House Waterfalls - This waterfall on the way to Thekkady from Munnar cascades down a steep rock 2000 m above sea level. The spot is enriched with the scenic western mountain ranges. On arrival check into the resort. Lunch and relax. Later on visit to The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary - situated on the banks of the Periyar Lake - an artificial lake, at Thekkady.
