DAY 01: Delhi

Falcon Tours and TravelsMeet and greet on arrival at Delhi and transfer to the hotel, depending on the arrival time, half-day sightseeing, visit to Lakshmi Narayan Temple - Popularly known as Birla Mandir, it is a large Hindu temple built in 1938. People of all faiths can enter and worship but one must walk barefoot into the courtyard, Qutub Minar - The Qutub Minar made of red sandstone rising to the height of 72.5 mts is an architectural marvel of the 13th century. Also a must is the visit to Ashoka Pillar dating back to the 5th century. Though made of iron it has with stood the weathers of time. A very interesting belief is assigned to this pillar- Stand with your back to the pillar, and if you can hold your hands around it, then make a wish and it will surely come true, Red Fort - Delhi's most magnificent monument, the Red Fort, was built by Emperor Shah Jehan, in 1638 A.D. Later on in the evening visit Musical Fountain at Ajmal Khan Park - musical fountain at Ajmal Khan Park is spread over an area of five acres and provides a refreshing getaway from the bustle of the city. The scintillating lights synchronized with music, and the cascading water turn this complex into a quiet, haven particularly during the heat of the summer. Return back to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

DAY 02: Delhi / Chandigarh (320 Kms / 08 Hrs)

Falcon Tours and TravelsMorning after breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to Chandigarh. On arrival at Chandigarh, check into the hotel. Relax until evening and then visit to Sukhna Lake - spread over an area of 3 sq. kilometers in sector 6. The waters of a seasonal rivulet that ran through the city were impounded to create the Sukhna Lake. Migratory birds arrive here from Siberia during the winter. A love for the lake draws many volunteers to desilt it just before the monsoon rains set in, Rose Garden - Asia's largest rose garden, spread out over 30 acres of land, in sector 16. Established in 1967, today around 50,000 rose trees of 1600 different species bloom here. Apart from roses, the other trees planted have medicinal value and some unique specimen trees were planted to enhance the beauty of the garden. Return back to the hotel and overnight.

DAY 03: Chandigarh / Shimla (95 Kms / 3 Hrs)

Falcon Tours and TravelsMorning after breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to Shimla. On arrival at Shimla, check in to the hotel and if time permits, sightseeing or relax at the hotel. Sightseeing, visit to The Ridge - The large open space in the heart of town presents excellent view of the mountain ranges. Shimla's landmarks-the Neo-Gothic structure of Christ Church and the new-Tudor library building are worth seeing, Prospect Hill - Crowned by a temple dedicated to Kamna Devi 15 minutes walk from Boileauganj on Shimla Bilaspur road. The hill offers a spectacular views of the area. Return back to Hotel and overnight.

DAY 04: Shimla

Falcon Tours and TravelsMorning breakfast and full day sightseeing, visit to Kali Bari Temple - Few yards from scandal Point towards General Post Office. It is believed that the idol of Goddess Shayamla is enshrined there, Summer Hill - picturesque superb on Shimla-Kalka Railway line. Offers shady walks in quiet surroundings. The Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi during his visit to Shimla lived in the elegant Georgian House of Raj Kumari Amrit Kaur. HP University is situated here, Chadwick Falls - Surrounded by thick forests. About 45 minutes walk from Summer Hill Chowk., Sankat Mochan - On Shimla-Kalka road (NH-22) is famous "Lord Hanuman" temple. It commands an excellent view of Shimla town. Return back to the hotel and overnight.

DAY 05: Shimla / Dharamshala (260 Kms / 06 Hrs)

Falcon Tours and TravelsMorning after breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to Dharamshala - Set against the backdrop of the dramatic Dhauladhar Mountains, Dharamsala is perched on the high slopes in the upper reaches of Kangra Valley, Dharamsala over looks the plains and is surrounded by dense pine trees and Deodar forests. A nearby snowline with numerous streams and cool healthy atmosphere makes the surroundings very attractive. On arrival at Dharamshala, check in to the hotel and freshen up. Later on half day sightseeing, visit to Kangra Art Museum - This treasure trove of the Kangra valley's arts, crafts, and rich past, displays artifacts that date back to the 5th century. The museum also includes a gallery of Kangra's famous miniature paintings and a representative collection of sculptures, pottery, and anthropological items, Dall Lake - Surrounded by high and green Deodar trees is the lake, which fills a mountain bowl. Situated 11-kms away from the town, this lake is easily approachable by road and makes an enchanting and serene picnic spot. Return back to the hotel and overnight.

DAY 06: Dharamshala

Falcon Tours and TravelsMorning after breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing, visit to Dharmkot - Just 11-km away from Dharamsala, located on the crest of a hill lie this attractive picnic spot, which presents a panoramic view of the Kangra valley and Dhauladhar ranges, Chamunda Devi - Not so far from the town is the famous temple with the majestic Dhaulandhars as a backdrop. It is an enchanting spot with glorious views of the mountains, the Baner Khud, Pathiar and Lahala forests, Masrur - Fifteen richly carved monolithic rock temples sculpted in the splendid style of the Kailash temple at Ellora and dating back to the 8th century are to be found at Masrur. Return back to the hotel and rest of the day free to relax. Overnight.

DAY 07: Dharamshala / Dalhousie (143 Kms / 04 Hrs)

Falcon Tours and TravelsMorning after breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to Dalhousie - Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, and situated on the western side of the mountainous ranges of Dhauladhar, it is known not only for its captivating beauty, but also for the ancient temples, the valleys of Chamba and Pangi which are great trekking grounds. On arrival at Dalhousie, check in to the hotel and rest of the day free to relax. Overnight.

DAY 08: Dalhousie / Khajiar / Dalhousie (Day Excursion)

Falcon Tours and TravelsMorning after breakfast, proceed for day excursion to Khajiar - 23 kms from Dalhousie by road and 13 kms from Kalatop is the mini Switzerland of India at a height of 6400 ft. Hutchison writes, "Khajjiar is a forest glade of great beauty, 6400 feet above sea level". Khajjiar is often referred to as "Gulmarg of Himachal Pradesh". The lush green meadows are surrounded by thick pine and cedar forests. Grazing herds of sheep & goats present a prefect pastoral scenery. Return back to the hotel and overnight.

DAY 09: Dalhousie / Amritsar (190 Kms / 04 Hrs)

Falcon Tours and TravelsMorning after breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to Amritsar. On arrival at Amritsar, check in to the hotel and freshen up. Later on proceed for sightseeing, visit to Golden Temple - Har Mandir Saheb, popularly known, as the Golden temple is the holiest shrine for the Sikhs, so called because the entire upper half was inlaid with copper covered over by gold plate. Rest of the day free to relax or go around Amritsar city for shopping. Return back the hotel and overnight.

DAY 10: Amritsar / Wagah Border / Amritsar

Falcon Tours and TravelsMorning after breakfast, proceed for a full day sightseeing, visit to Mata Mandir Temple -A grand old pious lady developed this Hindu temple situated at Rani ka Bagh, on the lines of holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi at Katra(Jammu),the temple draws crowds of devotees from far and near, Ram Tirath Temple - On the outskirts of Amritsar is this significant historic birthplace of Lav and Kush. It is the spot where sage Valmiki's ashram stood and this is a sacred place for the Hindus where we get a glimpse of statues illustrating scenes from the Ramayana. Return back to the hotel and relax. Late in the afternoon proceed to Wagah Border - The final frontier, Wagah about 28 kms, from Amritsar is the only border crossing between India and Pakistan. Itís an interesting experience especially at sunset when the 'Retreat' ceremony takes place with the BSF on the Indian Side of the Border. The changing of the guards and the ceremonial lowering of the flags ceremony is carried out with great pomp. Return back to the hotel and overnight.

DAY 11: Amritsar / Delhi (By Flight)

Morning after breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Amritsar Airport to board your flight back to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, rest of the day free to relax or time for shopping. Evening enjoy nightlife in Delhi or go out to dine in the best restaurant. Overnight.

DAY 12: Delhi

Morning after breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Delhi Airport / Delhi Railway Station to continue with your onward Journey. Tour Ends.
